Patrick Henkel received the "Vodafone Förderpreis für Natur- und Ingenieurwissenschaften" of the Vodafone research foundation for his excellent dissertation on reliable carrier phase positioning on May 16, 2011. The award included a plaque and a prize money of 5.000 €.
