Felix Michl, Thorsten Groene, Neven Majic und Yannick Bloessl  founded Cevotec beginning of 2015 as the next spin-off of the Institute for Carbon Composites. Following Munich Composites, who founded their company in 2011, Cevotec is already the second start-up that came to life based on ideas generated at the young but dynamic Institute. The company industrializes the manufacturing of advanced carbon products on the basis of the automated Fiber Patch Placement technology (FPP). The four founders offer services focused on FPP to their clients: product engineering, contract manufacturing as well as technology consulting and training for companies who want to use FPP in their production. Head of Institute and industry expert Prof. Drechsler mentors the team on technology. In the month following the foundation, Cevotec already had the chance to present themselves at the world-leading composite trade show JEC Europe in Paris.
