Organization of MuniCat
Munich Catalysis - MuniCat - strategic alliance of Clariant and TUM.
MuniCat is governed by the Steering Committee, equally manned by TUM and Clariant Produkte(Deutschland) GmbH.
Prof. Richard W. Fischer, as the coordinator, is supporting the committee regarding all scientific topics as well as management.
The BMBF-funded iC4 project cluster (CO2-separation, chemical valorisation, regenerative hydrogen) is represented by Prof. B. Rieger (Wacker Chair of Macromolecular Chemistry).
Further CRC-based research cluster include:
- Olefin chemistry (especially the development of new catalytic processes to olefins based on natural gas as a raw material, cluster speaker Prof. J. Lercher)
- Innovative systems for Selective Catalytic Hydrogenation (Cluster speaker Prof. K. Köhler)
- New methods for Catalyst Forming and Fluid Dynamic Optimization (Cluster speaker Prof. B. Rieger and Prof. K. O. Hinrichsen)
