Dr. Claus Beringer

Dr. Claus Beringer is Head of the ITS Digital Labs at Siemens Mobility. This unit combines deep expertise in data analytics & machine learning with traffic & fleet management. It comprises setups in the three major mobility markets Europe (Munich), USA (Austin/TX) and South East Asia (Singapore). The teams develop innovative and scalable data-driven applications and services to solve traffic- and mobility-related issues of smart cities. Therefore they follow a co-creation rapid prototyping approach together with lead customers.

Prior to his current responsibilities, Claus has been responsible for the Self-Driving Vehicles program at Siemens Intelligent Traffic Systems as well as the global business of Vehicle2Infrastructure connectivity. Claus worked as a strategy consultant in many international projects and as developer & system architect in a medium-sized IT firm. He studied computer science and business administration at TU Darmstadt and the University of British Columbia. He holds a Dr. degree from TU Berlin in the field of innovation management. Claus is married and has two children.
