I Cover

I Cover is the development of energy efficient and modular façade element at the Chair of Technology and Design of Building Envelopes. Developed against the background of a discussion on energy-efficient building with the company Frener and Reifer, the Associate Professorship of Architectural Design and Building Envelope developed a modular façade element, which combines the energy producing and building integrated regulatory elements to adapt to highly variable climatic conditions.

Here technologies available on the market are deployed together with newly developed systems. The goal is the architectural integration of future-oriented technologies with high-end aesthetic requirements. Beginning with studies in models and drawings, a 1-1 "mockup" will subsequently be developed.
