Workshop with Prof. Chen and Prof. Huang

In November 2017 Prof. Chun-Hung Chen and Prof. Edward Huang visited SFB 768 and conducted a workshop. Both professors teach and conduct research at the Faculty of Systems Engineering & Operations Research at George Mason University, USA. Prof. Chen is known and respected worldwide for his contributions to Stochastic Simulation Optimization and for his novel simulation approach "Optimal Computing Budget Allocation". Prof. Huang is a specialist in Model-Based Systems Engineering with a focus on Multi-Fidelity Optimization.

Our colleagues Minjie Zou (Subproject D1), Ertug Olcay (Subproject A3), Christian Dengler (Subproject A7) participated in this exciting workshop, presented the results of their work and identified some potential collaboration possibilities.
