Visit of Prof. Edward Huang (George Mason University, USA)

In July 2018, the Collaborative Research Center 768 welcomed Prof. Edward Huang, George Mason University, USA, for the second time.

Prof. Edward Huang

Prof. Huang aims to integrate both high and low fidelity models and identify the optimal design for them. This method was demonstrated with application examples in the lecture. The presented topic is closely related to the various subprojects of the SFB, which deal with system optimization during the entire development cycle.

In the continuation of the topic "Optimization" the subprojects A3 and A7 reported on relevant results in the topics "Swarm Intelligence" and "Reinforcement Learning". In addition, Prof. Huang's results provided a sound theoretical basis for subproject D1, which deals with model coupling and system consistency.
