TUM Asia Summer School – The Next Industrie 4.0 Frontier: Managing Smart Systems, Disruptive Innovation & Digital Networks

Industry 4.0 is also a major topic in Singapore. It is a component of cross-industry conferences, trade fairs and contributions. Modern technologies such as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Cloud Computing, Big Data Processing and highly integrated communication options must be integrated into an advanced production environment. This results in further aspects to be considered such as cybersecurity and socio-technical impact analysis. Exactly these aspects were presented and discussed by the SFB 768 at this year's TUM Asia Summer School in Singapore.

The three-day summer school program consisted of a series of lectures, case studies and discussions. This time it was accompanied by three leading institutes of the Technical University Munich: Prof. Dr. Sabine Maasen and Dr. Uli Meyer (Munich Center for Technology in Society), Prof. Dr. Birgit Vogel-Heuser (Chair of Automation and Information Systems) and Dr. Manuel Wiesche (Chair of Business Informatics). The TUM Asia Summer School was organized in cooperation with the SFB 768. Further information can be found at: tum-asia.edu.sg/i4ss2018/
