In this seminar we will explore – through master classes and literature review – the complex assemblages of infrastructures, paying particular attention at their intersection with current processes of urbanization. Throughout the course we will engage in understanding current conceptualizations of infrastructures, focusing on 1) their sociotechnical construction, dynamics and maintenance, 2) their techno-political agendas and effects, as well as 3) their appropriation and transformation in everyday practices of survival, tinkering and intervening.
