Obituary Prof. Dr. Susanne Ihsen

In deep sadness we must announce the loss of Prof. Dr. Susanne Ihsen, who died on Monday 08/20/2018 unexpected and suddenly.

The professorship Gender Studies in Science and Engineering has to mourn for Susanne Ihsen as her long-time leader and colleague. The staff mourns the loss of their boss, supervisor and researcher. She brought in dedication and her expertise in the fields of women and STEM successfully into many networks, committees and boards over the years, with considerable success. For example, in 2015 she was awarded the Bavarian Constitutional Medal in Silver. We will miss her clear approach and her unpretentious ways.
