Abstract

SuperLux celebrates recent milestones and triumphs of the
global 'Smart Light' movement: using eco-ethical ideas and efficient digital systems
to reinvent art, design and architecture for cities at night. Distinguished lighting experts will
discuss new issues in design, technology and theory. The symposium is an excellent
opportunity for architects, urban designers, and decision-makers to clarify new strategies
for smart lighting in cities. SuperLux is based on the book and exhibition
SuperLux: Smart Light Art, Design and Architecture for Cities, which
were launched during 2015: the UN’s International Year of Light. The editor
and contributing authors share their insights and leading artists and architects
show their latest projects and concepts.
