"Microclimate" describes climatic conditions close to the ground up to a height of about two meters and the climate that appears in a small, precisely defined area. These local zones with specific physical and thermal properties form the basis for our climatic conscious and unconscious perception and influence human well-being to a large extent.
Microclimates are significantly influenced by architectural interventions. It is therefore important to design the properties of our buildings and structures so that architecture has a positive influence on the microclimates.
The project examines how geometrically differentiated brick structures can improve the effects of the microclimate. The architectural design process is informed by means of computer-aided simulation methods and supported up to a robot-supported production for the production of architectural prototypes.
