"facade - trends and prospects for building envelope"

The increasing complexity of modern building envelopes requires an interdisciplinary design process which embeds the use of innovative technologies in order to provide maximum user comfort. The lecture discusses the interaction between designers, consultants, engineers and companies developing innovations in the field of building envelopes. This requires a holistic approach which manages energy efficiency, performance as well an architectural design of a façade in an iterative design process.
