FLUID MORPHOLOGY wins the 2nd prize at the purmundus challenge 2017 at formnext

For the fifth time in Frankfurt, the design prize in 3D printing was awarded to the purmundus challenge as part of formnext powered by tct. The purmundus challenge has been awarding innovative products and projects since 2012, which are groundbreaking in the field of 3D printing. The possibilities of additive manufacturing today are more diverse than ever before in the last three decades. The range of material properties and methods of building layers on top of each other is broad. Last but not least, additive and conventional technologies can be combined. Only with the right choice and combination does a sophisticated design develop its full potential and its special charm. So why not use the diverse design options of additive manufacturing with an intelligent combination? Under the motto "Fusion - Intelligent Combination of 3D Printing", 45 finalists from all over the world presented their outstanding design at the formnext trade fair from 14 to 17 November 2017. A total of six winners honored the international jury at the award show in Frankfurt with prizes worth a total of 12,000 euros. For the first time this year, an "Innovation Prize" for forward-looking "visions" was awarded - projects that show how 3D printing will further change the world of product manufacturing.
