The Deutsches Museum is to get a facade from the 3D printer. The concept originates from the TUM spin-off 3F Studio by Moritz Mungenast, Oliver Tessin and Luc Morroni.

As part of the major renovation of the Deutsches Museum in 2020, the entrance of the house will be moved. The "Gateway to the Future" on the Cornelius Bridge should become a unique lighthouse project - with a multifunctional and translucent façade made of recyclable material. The façade design for this project is from 3F Studio and is an evolution of the Fluid Morphology project.

As part of Moritz Mungenast's research project "3D Printed and Multifunctional Building Envelopes" at the Associate Professorship of Architectural Design and Building Envelope, the world's first façade element was developed that was produced completely in 3D.
