The Associate Professorship of Architectural Design and Building Envelope in collaborationwith industry and Research Partners is investigating the use of membranes as thermally separate, light but effective façades. Membrane strutures habe the potential to reduce the weight of building envelope by up to 80 % compared with conventional façades.
