Straubing Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability will be integrated into TUM
05.04.2017
The Straubing Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability will be integrated into the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as of October 1st, 2017. A unique feature of this location will be the expansion of the focus on renewable resources to include biotechnology and bioeconomics. As part of this, the Bioeconomy Program will be introduced, in which the foundations for a sustainable bio-based industry will be taught in a modern, interdisciplinary program of study. This very much acknowledges the importance of life sciences and management as an interdisciplinary course of study that is of high future importance, and that TUM strives to support. The Center of Life Sciences and Management (CLSM) is proud to be working at this intersection to contribute to this common vision.
