Dr. Karinne Ramirez received a prize for female graduates in engineering by the Bavarian Ministry for Science, Education, Arts and Cultural Affairs. 

Bavarian State Secretary for Science, Bernd Sibler, said at the award ceremony that "with your exceptional achievements in the area of engineering, you can be a role model for many young women who decide to study a technical subject! You area the proof that engineering is not only a domain for men!"

Dr. Ramirez received the prize for her PhD thesis on „Inferring Human Activities from Observation via Semantic Reasoning: A novel method for transferring skills to robots“.
