UrbanPrototypingLAB for spatial interventions in Munich
14.04 - 17.04.2020 / TUM Weißer Saal
The cities we value are full of complexity, diversity and contradiction. They offer spaces to engage and areas to explore and discover. They are adventurous places. These are the sources of creativity, innovation and an evolving, responsible urban society. The digital transformation has its impact on our spatial environment. It changes how we work, live, move, produce and consume.
“Hack the City” is a call for urban interventions, to push projects forward at the intersection of space, technology and society. The interdisciplinary teams with background in architecture, design, informatics, management, engineering and sociology will develop urban prototypes for Munich – from real spaces to token economies to activate the city for diversity, creativity and innovation.
We motivate for action, and to leverage the creative mind of urban Munich.
Join this four-day-workshop with impulse talks from research, practice, and arts. All teams will have afterwards 6 week to test and try out their idea, to prototype and evaluate the urban.
This collaborative workshop is open to Master’s degree students in architecture, industrial design, management, engineering & informatics.
