May 2011 - press release

After completion of the alpEWAS project, a press release was sent out by the TU Munich media office. The response was overwhelming as various regional, national and international newspapers, magazines and radio and TV broadcasting stations produced articles and reports.

October 2010 - alpEWAS marketability application started

In series of the Geotechnologien programme selective projects got an additional 6-month time span and founding for further marketability developments in close collaboration with German SMBs. The alpEWAS project is one of these, emphasizing on the TDR functionality together with Plinninger Geotechnik and the Low-Cost-GNSS Application with Dr. Hesse & Partner Ingenieure. Additionally, the alpEWAS Control center will be further improved with analysis software and more added interfaces for geodetic (tacheometric) and geotechnical devices.

October 12th/13th 2009 - Status Seminar in Munich

The second GeoTechnologien status seminar on Early Warning Systems for Natural Hazards was held at the TU München. Present project statuses, further development goals and achieved results became presented in a number of presentations and corresponding posters by each research group. Additionally, those groups working with sensor hardware had the chance to show it in a little exhibition.

 

September 30th-October 2nd 2009 - Geotechnologien workshop at the GeoDresden 2009

At the GeoDresden a seperate session was just held for GeoTechnologien projects. Nearly 30 presentations were held and enjoyed great popularity. Link

 

July 29th 2009 - Public Presentation for the citizens of Oberaudorf

Working at the Aggenalm test site for over two years now, it was time to articulate our explicit thanks to the municipality of Oberaudorf and the owners and residents in the Aggenalm area. The project instrumentation was shown to the municipal council and all citizens which were interested right at the alpEWAS central station. Afterwards in the Rosengasse inn a presentation of the project goals was given.

 

29 May 2009 - Ingenieurgeologischer Workshop an der TUM: Geotechnologien für instabile Hänge

In the course if the TUM geology's master studies program one of the workshop deals with monitoring of instable slopes. In the morning some projects of the GEOTECHNOLOGIEN program are presented by their particular researchers; in the afternoon practical case studies become shown. Link
