Mobile Membrankonstruktionen

In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die grundsätzlichen Einsatzmöglichkeit textiler Baustoffe und wandelbarer Tragwerke für mobile Konstruktionen untersucht. Auf der Grundlage einer Darstellung der geschichtlichen Entwicklung und der Analyse aktueller Beispiele mobiler Membrankonstruktionen wird eine Morphologie erarbeitet, die einen Überblick über die
grundlegenden konstruktiven Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten gibt und mobile Konstruktionen aus wandelbaren Stütztragwerken und Membranen als Untersuchungsgebiet der Arbeit definiert.

Anhand von zwei eigenen Projekten werden die Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten von Mechanismen und Tragwerken aus sehr elastischen und sehr steifen Primärtragwerken in Interaktion mit textilen Hüllen dargestellt. Durch die Berücksichtigung der Wechselwirkung von Hülle und Skelett bei Berechnung und Konstruktion werden Anregungen für die weitere Entwicklung von mobilen Konstruktionen dieses Typs gegeben.

Summary

This work analyses the fundamental applications of textile fabric and transformable structures for mobile constructions. On the basis of a historical evolution and an analysis of contemporary mobile membrane constructions a morphology will be developed. The morphology elicits the design principles and defines further aspects of this work, namely: the design and development of mobile constructions which using transformable supporting structures and membranes. Using two case studies the potential of structures containing transformable mechanism combined with primary load bearing structural elements of high elasticity and stiffness in interaction with the textile fabric will be shown. The significance of the interaction between skeleton and surface for the numerical analysis and the design will provide new stimuli for further development of mobile membrane structures.
