The developement of parametric design tools for architects and engineers has caused a fundamental shift in the design process. This freedom of form poses new challenges for the load-bearing structure. The goal of the studio is to demonstrate new possibilities for an intelligent symbiosis of form, structure and production. The work presented in this book was produced by students of the Master-project "Experimental Structures" in the summer semster 2016. The work consists of the theoretical analysis of built gridshells as well as individual experimental designs.
