The developement of new, digital design tools for architects and engineers has caused a fundamental change in the design process. This freedom of form poses new challenges for the load-bearing structure. The goal of the studio is to demonstrate new possibilities for an intelligent symbiosis of form, structure and production.
The work presented in this book was produced by students of the Master-project "Experimental Structures" in the summer semster 2014. The work consists of through experimental material tests produced modules and the formation of a structural surface. The overall shape of this surface is dependent only on the geometry and the interconnection of each module.
