Masterplanning is an urbanistic tool with a long history, For decades its reputation was low, because it has been used in a rigid way, the program nearly collapsing when conditions happened to change. But this is a matter of past. Meanwhile the profession has developed masterplanning in a more flexible way, providing longterm guidelines for actual decisions.
