Visiting Professorship for Silvia Benedito

Silvia Benedito, Associate-Professor of the Master program in Architecture and Urban Design at Harvard University and Partner of the office OFICINAA, will be visiting Professor Regine Keller's Chair of Landscape Architecture and Public Space during the winter term 2018/19.

Benedito received a degree in Architecture from the University of Coimbra, a degree in Music from the Conservatory of Coimbra, and a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Benedito's research and practice are focused on the role of atmosphere — the meteorological envelope and space for sensory acquisition — in the built environment. At Harvard's Graduate School of Design she is also Co-Director of the Master Program for Art and Public Domain and Co-Chair of the Sensory Media Platform. 

OFICINAA, Benedito's architecture, landscape and urban design practice based in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Ingolstadt has received several international awards and mentions. 
Together with her office partner Alexander Häusler and Larissa Belcic, Benedito designed the exhibition “Draussen. Landschaftsarchitektur auf globalem Terrain“  at the Architekturmuseum München in 2017.
