Italian-born architect Francesca Torzo studied architecture at TU Delft, ETSAB Barcelona, Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and IUAV in Venezia. She worked for international renowned architecture studios like Peter Zumthor, Haldenstein and Bosshard Vaquer architekten. Torzo has started her own office in Genova in 2008 and has won several competitions for contemporary art galleries, educational buildings, residential projects, and archaeological sites. From 2009 to 2017 she has been teaching as assistant by Atelier Bearth at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio. Since last year she is professor at Bergen Arkitekthøgskole.
