Call for Applications: Hack the City - Home Office Urbanism Lab

Special times require special actions. And we are surely living in special days. The outbreak of the Covid-19 virus has dramatically changed the work, travel, consume and leisure habits of the majority of people. But even though we are all stuck at home the city still needs our attentions, probably even more than before. Many new challenges occur and old ones are not gone. Let's analyse them and move quickly to change the circumstances. There are opportunities for better communities, neighbourhoods and cities everywhere. Let's work together to #MakeMunichWeird - from our living rooms.

Prototype your vision of the WEIRD Munich - from your couch.

Welcome to a new test field. The HomeOffice Urbanism LAB is a phased five days workshop spread over seven weeks to explore and test urban prototypes from home. It is hosted by the TUM Department of Architecture and the TUM School of Management. It includes guided working sessions, feedback-loops and input lectures. We will work in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate with experts. We want to innovate the city in its current situation, develop fast concepts, test them in the field and with experts to evaluate the results.

If you want to challenge the existing, move from designing to building, transform the city and learn new methods, join us. The workshop and final proposals will take place virtually.
We are looking for students from architecture, design, art, management, engineering, IT, sociology, politics...
