Call for proposals: EuroTeQ Teaching Fund 2021

The EuroTeQ Teaching Fund supports teachers at the Technical University of Munich in the realization of digital teaching projects in cooperation with European partners. The application deadline is April 30, 2021.

TUM launches EuroTeQ Teaching Fund with European partners. (c) EuroTeQ

The EuroTeQ Engineering University fosters the collaboration between six strong Technical Universities and 45 associated partners in order to incorporate the European spirit in a future-proof and innovative engineering education. Together, they want to build an open EuroTeQ campus that connects teachers and learners across countries and disciplines. The EuroTeQ Teaching Fund aims to promote an open educational approach, providing innovative formats for and together with European partners.
All TUM professors as well as academic staff with a teaching assignment are eligible to apply, if the chair agrees to the project and to advance the project’s funding.

The EuroTeQ Teaching Fund is primarily looking for blended learning approaches or virtual teaching formats that act as a catalyst for interaction between disciplines as well as contribute to the understanding of value creation processes. These can be existing course offerings that take up the EuroTeQ idea or new formats to be developed.

Applicants should explicitly state in which way and to what extent the EuroTeQ ambitions are reflected in the planned teaching format, and how the project plans to involve students and teachers from EuroTeQ partners or new target groups and associated partners. In addition, the project proposal should refer to the integration of intercultural diversity and European values. A multidisciplinary approach is possible. All projects must be evaluated upon completion to assess the demand for the new formats, its quality, added value, and potential for campus-wide scalability.
Please see the Guide for applicants for details.

This call has a total indicative budget of 75,000 euros to be awarded to successful projects. Budget requests are not expected to exceed 15,000 euros in total. Funds can only be spent on activities, which fit the purpose of this call. Applicants are requested to break down their budget using the table in the application form, see Financing plan. The principle of expediency, economy and sustainability of the use of funds applies.
Project financing within the EuroTeQ Teaching Fund is provided by reimbursement of costs, either to the TUM chair or directly to project members. Advance payments and the payment of lump sums are not possible. Only activities that have actually taken place are eligible for reimbursement.
